ITV broadcast a three-year deal for the French Open

ITV broadcast a three-year deal for the French Open is safe.

Starting next year, the broadcasters on ITV4 and ITV.com will have six hours of daily live coverage, and will show the men's and women's singles finals live on ITV1.

Niall Sloane, ITV controller of sport, said: "It's the first time that a grand slam has been shown live on ITV and with around six hours of coverage over each day of the tournament we'll be offering viewers more free-to-air coverage of the tournament than ever before."

The French Open runs from May 27 to June 10 in 2012, ITV's terrestrial deal, announced a special BBC television coverage of the tournament to finish the move.

The BBC announced this week that his three years at Wimbledon 2017 Broadcast, is a contract extension.

Li Na is a first major for Chinese to win at French Open
