Nadal expects quick recovery

From the leg injury the world number Rafael Nadal expects to have recovered in 10 days. The injury scuppered his attempts to win his fourth grand slam title in a row at the Australian Open.

Nadal had dreamt of holding all four Grand Slam titles at the same time after winning the French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open in 2010.He was urged to sit back and see Novak Djokovic (7/1 to win French Open) claim the Australian Open title.

Tests on the injured leg showed Nadal (13/8 Wimbledon Outright) ruptured the adductor longus muscle in his right thigh in Melbourne, but he should not be out of action for too long.

A statement on his personal website said: "Doctors estimate a recovery period of about 10 days from today."
